School Nursing Service

Our School Nurse is Debbie Halloran.  Debbie is a School Nurse Specialist Practitioner and is employed by Locala School Nurse Team.

Aim .....to help children achieve their optimum in both physical and emotional well-being throughout their journey in Purlwell Infant and Nursery School.  This is achieved by working in partnership with school, children and their families offering a range of interventions that include parenting advice, advocacy and health promotion.

I will support school staff and parents in devising Health Care Plans for children who have asthma, diabetes, epilepsy or any other long term conditions.  I will refer to other health professionals as necessary for eg GP,  Community Paediatrician, Continence Service, Orthoptist, Audiology.

Sessions

I will be in School every Tuesday from 1pm to 3.30pm

This is a confidential service for advice and support on childhood concerns eg bed wetting, head lice, diet, healthy eating, dental hygiene, behaviour/emotions.
