PE & Sports Premium

Children have two hours of PE per week through which we develop the three areas of activity as set out in the National Curriculum – Dance; Games and Gymnastics.

All pupils take part in a range of sports festivals and days.

We ensure that the children are taught the fundamental skills needed to play team games such as football and handball.

We provide children with the opportunity to develop their imagination and creativity during dance and gymnastics.

The sports premium has enabled us to provide staff with valuable training in all areas of the curriculum to ensure that staff and children are confident in PE.

We use our playground, grassed area and the all-weather pitch at Hyrstmount Junior School.

Sports Premium

We are excited at the news from the Department for Education that we will be receiving funding to develop P.E. in schools.  We are already looking ahead and planning to ensure that our children gain real benefits from this funding.
